PhD Positions in Financial Mathematics at Dublin City University

The School of Mathematical Sciences at Dublin City University invites applications for PhD positions, under the Stokes Chair in Financial Mathematics (Prof. Paolo Guasoni).

Successful candidates will hold an undergraduate or Master’s degree in Mathematics or Physics, with top performance in Analysis, Probability, and Stochastic Processes. Knowledge of Finance is not required, but a keen interest in solving Finance problems is important.

The PhD positions will be supported by the ERC Starting Grant in “Market Frictions in Mathematical Finance”, and potential research topics include portfolio choice, transaction and liquidity costs, incentives fees, taxes, and trading volume.
